A couple of years ago, “black market” appointments at the Bürgeramt were selling like hotcakes for premium prices as the waiting lines snaked down the block. Things aren’t quite so bad now, but it can still be very difficult to get an appointment. If you’re in Berlin, Red Tape Translation has access to an office just for foreigners. It’s not open to the public. We can usually get you an appointment within 10-12 working days and we meet you there and get your Anmeldung on your behalf while you wait. If you’d like to take advantage of that, choose to book an appointment as an add-on.

How long?

Registering your address takes around 20-30 minutes if you have an appointment and they’re running on time.
