Coaching: Getting the Artist’s Visa

We’ll help you prepare to apply for a visa or a residence permit to start life in Germany as a freelance artist.

This is a great place to send us a list of questions or give us some background information so we can prepare. Tip: if you're working on an application, create a shared folder online and give us the link and password here. Otherwise, you can upload documents (e.g. correspondence) below instead.
If you've got files you'd like your coach to have access to when you speak, you can upload them here. You can use the text form above to share a link and a password to an online folder, if you'd prefer.

You’re bringing your freelance business to Germany and you’ve heard that Germany treats its artists well. We will help you prepare for your appointment as thoroughly as humanly possible. Typically, we will:

    • Give you detailed information on the documents you need to bring
    • Help you with application forms
    • Tell you exactly what to expect on the day
    • Refer you to English-speaking health insurance specialists
    • Foresee any problems you might run into and suggest solutions
    • Organise an interpreter to go with you on the day if you wish (extra cost)
    • Give you plenty of tips and tricks on how to handle freelance (and artistic!) life in Germany

It’s easy to customise this coaching. Feel free to write a list of specific questions you want answered so that we can prepare. If there’s something we don’t know, we will refer you to someone who can help.

Although you’re buying an hour, you don’t have to use it all at once. Feel free to split it into two sessions of 30 minutes each when you schedule a time.
